What is #MPB2B?
Before we begin, I’d like to have a moment of silence for the version of this post that was supposed to go up yesterday. I hit “save draft” after noticing that the draft wasn’t auto-saving. And my reward? Was my entire post wiped out.
And I just stopped saving posts in Google Docs first. Check your setup folks.
What is #MPB2B? It is AWESOME – to use the word I’ll be overusing for the next seven days. But officially speaking, it’s the official hashtag for an annual live conference, the B2B Marketing Forum, brought to you by MarketingProfs. It is hands-down my favorite conference of the year. (Some of the day’s sessions are recorded, so do go to the link even though the conference has passed.)
Will the 7 Days of Marketing Awesome REALLY Be Awesome?
Well yes. Even though I am of course, the best, the people whose advice I’ll be telling you about are even better than me! So it’s like a spectacular-lettuce-bacon-tomato-rockstar-yay sandwich.
The name is actually stolen from my favorite session, the very last one. It’s called 7 Minutes of Awesome, and 7 renowned experts have to get on stage and give us the good stuff in 7 minutes. If you’re gonna steal? Steal from the best I say!
Tune in every day for the next 7 business days for the featured video, slides and other highlights from #MPB2B. Or send any blank email to email@example.com and join our newsletter for periodic reminders about what’s hot on this blog and elsewhere on the web.
Today’s Marketing Awesome from Laura Fitton
PROTIP: It’s not a Gallagher performance – I promise that 90% of the time, no items will be smashed on stage and your clothes are safe. You paid good money to attend. Sit in the front where you can get first crack at networking opportunities and absorb the content better.
I was uniquely privy to the wonderful treats Laura had in store for us, as we had discussed her slides before I was even sure I was going to MPB2B, and earlier in the day of her presentation, was clued in to what her outfit would look like.
So of course by the performance, my heart was all a-flutter. I managed to get about three plus minutes of it on video. The audio isn’t bad, but it is occasionally interrupted by our table laughing at Laura’s jokes even though we knew we were supposed to stfu.
